Just found out this weekend I’m pregnant💓💓 the clear blue says 3+ does anyone know how many weeks I actually am? And any tips as haven’t been pregnant before 🤰

If I remember rightly you add two weeks so around 5 weeks Hun. You don’t see your midwife till around 8weeks so ring your gp and they advice you when’s the best time to book you in. You don’t need to go to the docs to confirm . On your first appointment she will take blood weigh you figure out how far you are by asking the first day of your last period. Then your first scan should be book for around 12 weeks 🙂sooo exciting hunni x

Congrats! There are loads of helpful websites for advice, check nhs choices for what to avoid in pregnancy and what to do. Take folic acid and vitamin d supplements. There are also loads of online calculators to help you work out how far along you are using the date of your last period.

As the last poster said, phone your gp who can get you booked in with your local midwife and they will tell you where to go from there!

Hey congrats you calculate from the first day of your last period. Ring your gp at my surgery there’s and early pregnancy talk where they give advice and if you’ve any questions etc they give you your bounty pack and folder and arrange your booking in app.

Hey girls!! Firstly congratulations!!! I’m in the same situation, I’ve done two at home test but I’m not sure how far I am. In fact my last period started 3rd of April! I think maybe go to your GP and get them to have a look. I’m booked in today so will update you and let you know what the next step is. Take care xx

Update*** so after visiting the nurse today I was told the first usual scan can be done at 6-12 weeks. But because the baby is developing it might be later on they may pick up a heart beat. Your GP/nurse will refer you to a midwife. Your midwife will be able to answer all your questions and hopefully guide you better x

I had to book in with midwife I’ve got appointment on 27th but I’m currently homeless & pregnant so my local council advice me on Monday they are going to put me in ether temporary accommodation or permanent really hope I get my own place x
