Does anybody use the Ovia App?

I've been using it since December when I had my first proper period since coming off Cerelle in Oct/Nov time.

I've been having around 20 day cycles since then. However, I am a few days late of my period. My Ovia App tells me that now is the time to take a test as its past the day I was due to come on.

However, my app also tells me when I should be ovulating, but when using ovulation sticks, I ovulated later than expected compared to what the app says. I know you shouldn't go by what the app says as not always true... so my question is, when do you think I should test as at the minute, as I'm only 3 days late, and maybe the app could be wrong with when to suggest to take a test too etc?

Hi can you remember how many days cycle you used to be before being on the pill? 20 days is quite short but if that’s your normal. After I came off I was 23 days eventually just before getting pregnant I had and cycle of 25 days which is usually my normal. I had a 23 day last month so not sure which day af is due. I feel I ovulated on day 9 last month and day 10 this time. Usually day 11. U Could be pregnant 🤗 keep testing.

It's been forever ago since I wasn't on the pill as I was on microynon 30 or however it's spelt haha for 2 years before I was on cerelle but I was only on cerelle for 2/3 months before coming off. Before though my periods were so bad (hence going on the pill) my cycle was short around 20/21 days because I used to be on my period for two weeks and be really heavy from start to finish and was very painful. Therefore now, I don't know what's what really haha, thank you for advice!x

I know I was 16 when I went on the pill I can’t remember, then I got pregnant straight away with my other 2 so didn’t really need to know how long I just presumed I was the “normal” 28 days but when I think I back both my kids came a few days early so prob was 25 days.

Have you even tested yet? You could be pregnant! let me know I’m waiting to find out too doing and early test on Friday as I’m having bloods done on sat so I hoping I’m pregnant and don’t need to get them done. Good luck

No I haven't even tested yet, I don't want to test too early but my last period was 4th March, so I don't think I am, I think it's just me over thinking things, however the app does say "today you should do a test" and has done for the last 3 days as it looks as though I'm late, based on my last few cycles. I've ordered some tests and I can't get to a big supermarket as such but they're meant to arrive on the 28/29 this month so I'll test them and keep you posted! I really do hope I am, but knowing my luck probably not.

I know I feel a little different this month but keep trying to convince myself I’m not so I’m not let down if period does arrive.

Yeah, that's like me. I don't know if I feel different or if it's psychological... I keep saying I doubt it to not get my hopes up but it's hard you know.

Lol I usually get one sore boob if I’m going to get my period up to now I haven’t got any and had niggling cramps all last week after ovulation so maybe but prob not. 😕

See I have cramps often so can't really tell by that but just try not to get hopes up, anyway keep us updated be nice to know!!x

Congratulations!! I use the app to track periods, fertility etc in hope to ttc but no luck as of yet😥 Good luck on your pregnancy!xx

I use the pregnancy app, I used to use the Ovia fertility, there both really good, Ovia fertility helped me with information and it’s predictability was spot on

Where it says I am fertile and ovulating etc, is what I went by, but then after my last period, I used ovulation sticks as well, and got flashing smiling face when using the advanced clear blue ovulation test on day 7,8,9 which is outside my fertile window on the app, but clearly hadn't reached my highest, at peak as I didn't get a solid smiley face, but that's also because I didn't know you had to keep testing til you get the solid smiley...

I never used an ovulation kit chick, I just used guidance off Ovia, sometimes using too much can become complicated, I hope it works for you as it has for me xx

I use Ovia, it has worked for me twice. I found when I entered my ovulation it would adjust things and was pretty good! Good luck! X

I'm not sure when I ovulate, I've been using ovulation sticks too (clear blue advanced ones) and I didn't read instructions properly, I reached a flashing smiley face on day 7 etc but didn't continue to test til I got the solid smiley face and I thought once you saw flashing smiley that was it, so I still don't know what cycle day I ovulate on... I do have short cycles though, 20/21 days and I'm like 3 days past that now, so hopefully I am pregnant, it says to test now but I don't know if it is still too early to test? I had my last period March 4th. and I was due to come on again the 24th, but I haven't, I'm 3 days late so god knows x

Hello

I used this app when ttc and took a few months for it to correct itself. You need to imput your information each day. My cycle was 25 days and similar to you I tested my ovulation one month and the app was a week out for my fertile week. I imputted the day I ovulated into the app and it updated it all. I understand how stressful it can be when you want a baby so bad but, to be honest I conceived in February and didnt even use the app just let things happen. I hated it when people told me to 'let it happen' but it actually worked for me.

Yeah I've found that it's a week out for my fertile week too. I'm going to continue to test for ovulation and when I do ovulate I will input it into the app. I came on yesterday so I know as soon as I've came off I will continue to test each day for ovulation, hopefully next month will be my month!

Grrr keep trying you’ll get there, I’m in the 2 week wait due on either mon or wed depending on what cycle my body decides. I’ve just had my blood done today have to go back next sat for more to see if I do actually ovulate I’m sure I do.

You might be getting back on track with longer cycles if you were 7 days late 27/28 days your egg have longer to mature.

Hopefully that's the case, I've just got no idea when to start testing for ovulation it's just beyond ridiculous now. I'd of never have gone on the pill if I knew how hard it would be to get back to normal periods and ttc! I feel like giving up. I am really poorly too atm though so it doesn't help my mood🙄

I'm out this month too urgh why is it so fecking hard?? I might have a month off trying and just get drunk alot and eat pate lol Also Conceiving in April would be a Jan baby my 2 daughters both have their birthdays in Jan not sure id want another.

I feel you! It's so frustrating and hard isn't it! Maybe that's for the best - having a month off sort of thing & yeah 3 birthdays in one month, expensive month 😉😂
