How long have you been struggling like this?

It's normal to feel sick been sick is normal too but if it's interfering with your life or your not managing to keep things down. You need to see gp they can give meds. In the mean time eat little and often drink plenty. They say ginger helps maybe accupressure bands. Hope you get relief soon xxx

My midwife told me that your hormones peak at week 9 so hopefully you've reached the worst and it'll get better from here! I definitely found my symptoms ease off sometime after that point.

Are you actually being sick or just feeling nauseous? I didn't throw up that often but I felt constant nausea and found eating small portions more often lessened the feeling. I heard it's the acid build up that can cause feelings of nausea. People suggested I eat crackers and dry things but that didn't work for me, I preferred fresh things like fruit and salad.

I also got a prenatal supplement that contained ginger extract (ginger is meant to curb nausea) and it seemed me make me feel less sick.

Good luck - hope the sickness starts to disappear soon!

Ive been sick a few times but its not the food coming back up its just bile and to be honest i think thats the worst as u really struggle to get it up. Yeah crackers havent done much for me but rich tea biscuits in the morning seem to help for a bit. Ah thank you xxxx

I feel for you, I really do. I've been like this from week 5 till week 13. Being actually sick only 2 or 3 times a day but with horrible nausea all day and all night. It's debilitating, it made me lose will for life at times, it's so bad. I fee so sorry hearing that you are going through the same.

Now, what made it a bit better for me was: hot soups - in small amounts but often, ice lollies - suggested by my GP, tangerines and clementines, and in general eating something little every hour, as even the slightest hunger was making it much worse. Oh, and fresh air, avoiding car journeys, windows slightly open in the house, heating on very low. These things helped me get through it.

I hope it'll give you a bit hope - I thought I'd never feel any better, but come 13 weeks and suddenly I got a few hours in the day with no nausea. I'm 14+2 now and I can say I definitely have more hours during the day feeling no sickness AT ALL than the hours with a SLIGHT sickness. That's how much better it'll get soon. Hang in there!

Ahh im glad your starting to feel better. Yeah its awful its messing up my work life at the moment but they are really understanding thank godness! I have been to the gp this morning and he has given me a stronger gaviscon liquid and told me to try it bit as he said it should start to pass in the next 3 to 4 weeks and to be honest i really cant wait i cant remember what its like to not feel sick haha. Aww thank you i will try everything u have said. Xxx
