Hun there’s never a right time it’s all down to you and when your ready and nesting! You can wash all baby clothes with non bio washing powder and iron them If needed . As for the sleeping equipment it depends where it’s going to be as we all know that dust loves to attach itself to our loving things! Set it up but it will probably need to be freshened up in your late 30+ weeks if it’s a Moses basket . Hope the rest of your weeks go well xx
We got the baby’s room ready at 22 weeks as we had ordered the furniture before it discontinued. I also started washing and ironing clothes from about 32 weeks as I had quite a bit to get through but it depends how you feel too. I’ve had a very easy pregnancy so was happy to wait til my 3rd trimester although struggling now xx
It won’t last long I can assure you lol I hate ironing at the best of times but wanted them to look nice xx
I’m 34weeks and my husband built the cot up yesterday although it won’t be getting used for about 6 months as it’ll be in a Moses basket for a while. The room still needs painted and the blackout curtains put up. I’m planning on washing all clothes either this week or next, depending on how I’m feeling (whenever I feel like I have enough energy!). I’m not a big fan of ironing and I doubt my baby will complain if there are a few creases in their vests and sleep suits
Just take your time with it all. Write a list of everything you plan to do and do a little each week.
I only started preparing once I was 30 weeks, partly due to practical reasons such as that's when I left work. I'm saving all my washing until after 36 weeks, once I've had my antenatal class. Just in case they give me advice that changes the items I'm planning on taking to hospital and having washed and ready at home.
