Dad to be - how to help with pains

Dear mums,

I am a dad to be, our child is really close to come, and aI have some difficulties in being useful with helping my wife during the night with her pains. I found helping her with all those things of every day such as cleaning, shopping, preparing dinner and doing small things like refilling water bottle really easy and made me feeling more useful.

But now that baby is getting lower and she has more pain during the night, I feel again useless. I know from the classes that we should not question to much and simply be there do a massage etc... but my wife hates massages and don't like to b touch when in pain.

This morning I realised that she woke up in the night, and sit on a very heavy chair while I was sleeping like... and she did not call me because she knows I cannot to anything on that.

Which is your experience, what I can do to improve her situation and being more helpful in this last part of the pregnancy?

Many Thanks

I liked massages :) you need to ask your wife what she would like!

I love that you are trying to help your wife feel more comfortable! There probably isn'the much you can do to help but maybe she can arrange her pillows to support her legs and back? I found that helped. Maybe run her a bath for when she gets up?
