It might be a random question just wanted to when can we tell midwife that I want to have water birth. To me that seem quite calm and relaxing. Is anyone else had water please do share your experience.

I made my birth plan week 36. Before that you are high risk. Also bear in mind in depends on availability on the day x

Just tell her as soon as possible, you need to check if the hospital has that option or if you want to do it at home what things do you need... Good luck!

You can discuss at your next appointment to find if available and if you are suitable. In general if there's any complication during your pregnancy or you have a very high bmj they will advice against water birth. Also it limits what pain relief you can have. So make sure you get all the info you need

Most midwives do the birth plan with you around 36 weeks it’s your chance then to mention it to them :) all the best hope your birth plan goes to plan xx

I imagined the same as you - and i got it: on my arrival Midwives prepared bath with lavender oil. In my hospital I could give birth in bath - in the birthing pool, bed... anywhere and anyhow I wanted. My contractions were so intense in the water - also very intense as aftermath of gas and air that I got out of the bath, and did not use gas and air- which helped me a lot. Before you choose hospital to give birth you ask if they provide low dependency women to have a water birth. Good luck!x
