Heartburn help NEEDED!

Heyyyyy guys! So I’ve had heartburn/acid reflux from about week 6 I’m now on week 14, gaviscon is no longer helping, nor is ranitidine. A lot of people have recommended milk to me but guess what this little weirdo (being me) doesn’t like milk, if I add a bit of nesquik will it have the same effect? Has anyone tried it?

I having same thing I am not been eating spicy food it helps. You can have yogurt or even ice cream that really helps good luck xxx

I have the same and it sucks! I totally feel for you lovely. I don’t know if adding nesquik would stop milk from working. Anything is worth a shot right? I’d give it a go and see how you get on. I eat little and often as big meals bring on an acid attack (my reflux comes all the way up and causes me to be sick) and I avoid spicy food, chocolate and anything really fatty like takeaway food. Peppermint tea makes me really bad too bizarrely! I find sleeping on my left side has reduced attack’s in my sleep and keeping my head elevated. I had this with my first pregnancy too and if it’s any consolation, the symptoms instantly went away the day I had her! Hope the milk works for you! Let me know if it helps! I might try it :) x

Milk made into milkshake is fine and really helps, plus bonus calcium! I am week 28 and suffering too, now that bump is bigger I actually choke on acid reflux when sleeping. Have found that fizzy drinks, coffee, yoghurt, lentils, pastry, toast and tomatoes are the worst culprits. To help at night stop eating at least a few hours before bedtime. Loads of pillows, prop your head up.

Nesquick is basically sugar and flavouring. It should not make milk more acidic so give it a go! Also eat more often, but smaller portion sizes x
