Am 40weeks +2days with my 3rd child I've never gone over 28 weeks in my last pregnancys will I be offered to be induced or will they just sweep me x

It might depends on the hospital policy. But normally they sweep you first and then book you to induce you after 2 weeks max from your due date

See I've never been over due I've always had the sweep at 38 weeks an had my waters broke so I don't no what to expect x

When I had my first son I went 2 weeks over, I had to be induced x

They will normally let you go about 10 days over ( in my area) then induce. Might offer you a sweep to bring things on but they don't usually work!!!

When I went past my due date with my 5th last year I was very surprised as my previous children were born from 37-39 weeks without any intervention. I had 2 sweeps which kicked things into gear and she was born at 41+5. As with all my labours it was very quick and I had her at home. I would have done anything to avoid being induced and giving birth in hospital so I'm very glad she made her own way out. Fingers crossed your little one makes an appearance soon
