Could be completely normal, can you get an early scan at your epu to check how things are going? They should be able to see a pregnancy sac and yolk sac at 6 weeks but don't expect to see a hb yet. Otherwise they could test your hCG levels to see that they are doubling. Some cramping is common in early pregnancy and spotting is common too but I've been in your situation and didn't have a happy outcome, so it can go either way. A scan or blood test is the only way to reassure you. Hope it's nothing!

You need to get it checked out see ur gp to get an early pregnancy scan. If the pain gets severe or heavy bleeding then go to a&e. Hopefully it's all within normal but it might be something unhappy (miscarriage or worse ectopic pregnancy) hope it turns out for the best!

hiya - if the pain remains one-sided and gets much worse, then you must get seen quickly JUST IN CASE it's an ectopic pregnancy. Also with an ectopic some people get pain in their shoulder. However there is no reason to assume the worst, bearable cramping and a bit of old blood don't necessarily spell disaster. xxx

I had the same thing happen around the same time. Doctors just said I had a small hemorrhage, but nothing serious. It should go away on its own, but I do suggest seeing a doctor just to make sure.

Hi, I am having the same thing and finding it quite distressing now. It started on Saturday so 6 days now of brown blood and mild pain. Now I've just had some red blood too, which is more worrying as its fresh. On Sunday I called the out of hours doctor and they referred me to a gynaecologist at A&E. I had a blood test to check levels of HCG (apparently they can rule out ectopic if levels are high enough 1 mine weren't) and then speculum exam to check whether my cervix was closed (it was). They also referred me for an early scan next week so we can find out if the bleeding is nothing to worry about or whether it does indicate a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

My advice would be definitely call midwife/GP so that you can get seen. Everything I read when mine started last week said that it could be nothing but should never be ignored.

Good luck and I hope it's nothing x

I had the same thing & went to dr yesterday who dipped urine & found it's a bladder infection. I'm 5 weeks & he said ectopic won't usually Show symptoms until about 8-10 weeks.

If you ever have any worries during pregnancy it's always safe to get it checked out by a dr, even just for peace of mind. I wouldn't rush to A&E unless you experience excruciating unbearable pain & a lot of bleeding, but definately get checked by a gp if you're concerned. Best of luck!
