Worried about my babies birth.

I had a c-section with my first child and recovered well from it. I am now 8 weeks pregnant with my second child and I am nervous incase i have to have another c-section. has anybody ever had a c-section and then went on to have a natural birth?

I personally haven't, but I know people that have gone on to have successful vbacs (vaginal birth after caesarean) with their second and so on. I'm actually booked in for an elective c section 2 weeks from Friday with baby number 2, first was an emergency 2 years ago. My c section is the day before my due date but if I go on my own before then, I'm going to give it a go. If u wish to try for a vbac, let yr midwife and consultant know. They will most likely ask you anyways. Good luck x

Not me personally, but have heard of lots of vbacs, so go for it if you want to. My sister in law had a planned c section first time as her first was breech and had a natural birth second time, she said natural was much better. A friend was booked in for a c section for her second having had an emergency one with her first after having pre-eclampsia, she went into labour early and it all happened so quickly that she had a vbac.
