During my last labour I felt all the pain in my back. So this time I was thinking of hiring a TENs machine. Can anyone recommend a machine/place etc. I am due in less than 5 weeks.
Thank you.

Hi smiler1985, I bought the best selling one off Amazon for £22 - however it arrived yesterday with a massive warning not to use in pregnancy or labour!! Confused.com I'm going to check with MW what to do as it looks exactly like the one they use - have you asked your MW if you can borrow one from your local surgery? I'm assuming the maternity unit know where to get them and also how to hire them/have them available for hire? Alternatively if I get go ahead from MW I'll use the one I bought - it was pretty cheap on Amazon and came with all the bits needed. Good Luck.
I hired one from mothercare. Could b hired for 5 weeks for 30 quid. I used it a lot during my labour although im not sure it did much it must have helped a bit as its the only pain relief I had x
Thanks. I had the epidural with baby no1 but it didn't work. All my pain was in my back so I just thought a TENs would be worth a try
Hi, my tens machine to me was the best thing I used in labour, it got me through so will defiantly be using it again. My friends and sister in law have also borrowed it they just bought new pads as recommended.
I bought mine from amazon for around the price you can hire them for and it's been worth every penny.
I just checked amazon and if you type in mama tens in the search bar it should be the 1st one to appear its on there for £34.99 with free delivery and comes with everything you need. (It's a white/cream colour with green and yellow buttons)
Hope this helps and hood it works for you.
Thank you very much
I hired mine off eBay and it was supplied with new pads and packaging to return it and it was only around £20 to hire, was cheaper than all other sites I looked at such as mothercare.
