My niece often stands right by objects or in like reaching distance and "cannot see them". Could this just be a phase? She has regular hospital appointments for her ears and they check her eyes too but the last one was 2 months ago and the next is in 4 months. Would it be worth taking her to an optician?

How odd! Are these objects directly infront of her or to the side? If they are next to her rather than in front, perhaps its an issue with her peripheral vision? If she is under a specialist for her regular appointments id be tempted to contact their secretary and ask if either she can have another check up sooner or if they can refer her to an optician x
My sister has rang and they told her nothing was wrong with her eyesite two months ago so there's nothing they can really do as they're the team for her ears and can not refer her. And it's abit of both really, it's like anything in a radius around her x
The opticians would be a good call. Alternatively, get an appointment with the GP, as they might refer her to the optometry department?
Can you just turn up to an opticians?
I meant the optometrist department in a hospital. I think most high street opticians should be ok to go to, as well, although may need to book an appointment (not usually much of a wait though!) X
G.p would refer her as urgent they see children quickly x
