Video call during scan?

My husband can't make our first scan so I was wondering if anyone knew if you can make video calls during the scan so he could be there in a way?

You are meant to switch off your phone in the hospital so I don't think they would let you do a video call. You'll get some pictures though.

My hospital def wouldn't let you no electronics allowed to be used in scan room..there are signs everywhere...think its partly covering themselves wont let you take your own pics of screen or video atall. Not sure if other hospitals would be different though guess all you can do is phone in advance and ask them. If its that important maybe you could just change the scan date? Good luck xxx

I tried changing the date but ill already be 15 weeks at this scan and their only next appointment was 2 weeks after that, so not an option unfortunately. Cheers I'll call ahead and ask

u can try calling, my friend works in a hospital and she has had people do this as their partners are in army etc, the rules with hospitals and phones apparently are not as strict as u think so call up and ask x

Hey. It depends on the hospital and also the sonographer. Where my sister works, they acknowledge phones don't mess with the equipment so if you had a nice more lenient person, they would probably let you lol. If you get a slightly more strict one then probably not lol. X

Hi hun its def worth a ask but if not could you not book a private scan? It's a lot more relaxed can be expensive but worth it if he feels about missing first scan xx also the 20 week scan is much better and clearer xx
