To lighten the mood this morning....

Here is Hugo trying to remove his nappy on Friday, this morning he has mastered the art and "cracked it" pardon the pun!

Left him playing on the bed while I ran him a bath! He was on his back, nappy on, went into the bathroom for 30 seconds and came back to a nappy-less boy on his belly, laughing his head off!!

In addition, a squirrel has just run up the garden onto the decking and into the patio doors!! Poor little thing! Bit dazed but scampered off a few mins later!! On the plus side I must have very clean glass in the doors!! :)

Little monkey!!! You're going to need eyes in the back of your head now!

I left Eoin in his cot this morn whilst I went to the other room to get something and when I came back he's pulled the towel down that was hanging there and had it over his face!

You really can't leave them for a second!!!

Does eoin like having things on his face? Hugo seems to love it!! Covers his face with muzzies and blankets on purpose and gets really excited!! I don't dare leave him alone with them!! Than God fir the person that invented sleeping bags!! Blankets would not work out well here!! :( xx

in reply to

Yeh he really does!! He likes the blanket teddies as a comforter but I have to be really careful as he puts them on his face!

I know it goes too quick little Olivia will be 2 weeks on Thursday and I think that's gone super quick! Although I love every minute I'm struggling with the lack of sleep atm with breast feeding and still limited to what I can do. I'm very hormonal still and feel as I'm restricted I can't enjoy everything. Hubby's been great but he's bk at work on Sunday so don't know how I'm going to manage! X

Ah hun bless you! The first weeks are hardest but it will get better!! Am I right in thinking you ended up having a section? Lack of sleep is such a killer. These tenny little ones demand so much attention! How often does she wake in the night?

As for hubby returning to work, I was dreading it but you will cope!! Do you have family or friends local than can pop in for a cuppa and some company?! Xx

I hope so as we waited so long to have baby but I'm not going to lie I find it hard some days. Yeah emergency after inducing me her heartbeat kept dropping to 50 and below :-( I want to carry on bf aswel but I'm still nervous about going out and doing it too. She's started doing well she's up latest every 4 hours but sometimes 2-3 hours. Some nights I'm ok and wide awake but last night I really struggled to wake up as hubby has to get her out of crib and pass her to me due to section not healing properly.

Yeah got family and friends but I have enjoyed the family time and wish he could stay here with us all the time haha.

How long did it take till u had a routine with Hugo? X

in reply toMummyleanne

Ah it's totally normal so don't worry, just talk to hubby if you are feeling down. Scary time for you giving birth! Thank goodness she is ok! I had a similar situation but I'd got to 10cm so I had forceps! :(

Breastfeeding in public takes some getting used to. You can get special tops and shawls which you might find useful?

Her sleeping is good for such a little one but bet those nights when it's 2 hours feel endless!!

We couldn't really establish a routine while I wad breastfeeding, beachfront was on demand, sometimes it would be every 30 mins and others it would be every 4 hours. We only got going with one properly when I switched to formula, but even then it wasn't immediate. He was probably 3 months old before routine was fully established xx

Thanks for advice :-) Still even with forceps must of been scary! I only got to 2cm and begged to carry on but they wouldn't allow it.

I've done it in public already and then again in mothercare but it's still very daunting but I want to try and keep it up. Sometimes in day and night she asks like 30 mins etc but she has funny moments. Xx

:) it was so scary! I was 9cm when they prepped me for theatre and basically said if you get to 10 when you are in theatre it will be forceps, but if you are still 9cm will be a section! :( it's awful when thibgs don't go how you want but with a heart rate so low it was the right choice! You had a rough time though so it will take time to get better it's such a big operation! You just have to do what's right for you, you can be given all the advice in the world but I've learnt my mother's instinct is the best thing to listen to! :) xx
