Water...?

Anyone's baby take water? I offer it to Hugo but he just isn't bothered!!! X

I've only ever offered it to Eoin when he's been constipated. He's always taken a few oz's then. When are you offering it to him? If it's after a feed he might be too full to take on anymore liquids?xx

I just do it in between feeds, I guess if he needed it he would have it? X

Yh James loves it. I used to give it to hints when he had a few issues pooping and was lucky that he liked it from the start. He had it yesterday too as he is under the weather so trying to keep his fluid intake up as don't want him dehydrated. Some babies don't like it. I'm sure if he needs it he'll take it xx

Ok I'll just keep offering it and see what happens! He is a little monkey atm, chomping on his bottles!! Veggie puree is so much more fun!! x

I wouldn't think it's too much to worry about. Have you started with the veggie purée now? I bet he loves it!

Yep! Has about 40ml of butternut squash 2x per day this week! Sweet potato next!! Not got a blender yet, so currently mashing then passing through a fine sive!!! Xx

Do u give him the water warm? Also Puree carrot is delicious! I used to eat s few mouthfuls myself

I've tried various temperatures! Little monkey!! oh yeah carrot is on the menu too! Debating on sprouts on Xmas day!!! Lol x

When my friend started weaning her little girl she said stay away from sweetcorn and spinach as what comes out the other end is grim lol. Apple and pear is meant to be yummy x

Dont stop trying... they wont want to take it because it tastes like nothing.. and it is a battle, but there are so many benefits..!!!!

its so healthy for your little one.. juice has so much sugar and milk.. well, you can live on milk forever I battled with my son, but now at 12 he will order water instead of cooldrink when we go for dinner :-)..... lets hope this time around I can get it right with my new little addion Good luck x

I know my reply is a Lil "late" but im just always Sooo busy these days

I just wanted to say if you're really struggling for hugo to take / drink water try adding just a "touch" or a few Lil drops of something like "robinsons" juices to it (works a treat)

I'll just keep persisting! If he isn't thirsty I can't force him! Guess he will want more, the more veggies he has!! Ha yeah ceri I can imagine how horrific the result of sweet corn and spinach medley would be!! I've been out and got some more little pots today! It's so much fun! And his little face when he realizes it's not milkies or rice!! Xx

Of course you can force him....put a little funnel in his mouth hahaha!! he'll want it eventually. I'm just lucky bubsy liked it from the start. That's really what it's all about I find...luck lol xx
