Keep rolling onto my back in the night :(

I know we're advising to sleep on our left side. And until now I've been pretty good at it but now I'm 32 weeks I wake up uncomfortable in the night & turn over. When I wake up in the morning I'm flat on my back & worried I'm hurting the baby by decreasing the oxygen flow :( obviously when I wake realising I'm on my back I turn back to my side but how serious is this? :(

I kept doing it and apparently snoring which I don't do normally. ... the midwife told me I'd u do it automatically in ur sleep there isn't much u can do. .... to be honest u have to think before all this came in what did our parents so or grand parents. . .u could have a pillow wedged behind ur back so u don't roll completely onto ur back? X

Well yeah, there is that! My mother finds it ridiculous that I'm not allowed runny eggs or certain cheeses. My dad was surprised I had to 'cut down' my drinking ! ...I dread to think what my mothers pregnancy entailed, but I'm still alive! ;)

I slept on my bk 98% of the time as my sides hurt too much too sleep on. I wudnt worry. .my son id here safe and sound x

I agree, it gets harder to stay in one place! Hard to know how serious it is really, can't be that high risk!

My friend gave me a genie pillow thing and it does discourage me from rolling on my back. But even on my side I am snoring so loudly I am incorporating the noise into my dreams as various types of loud machinery!

Lou42 that did make me LOL! Last night I dreamt I'd given birth -remember feeling tired but other than that it was uneventful. Then I took the baby to the pub! I'd wrapped her up in a blanket & put her in the bottom of my handbag. I hope this isn't foreseeing my 'responsible parenting' style! Ha! x

I've had three babies and all have slept on my back side and almost with number three on my front/side. Never done any harm what so ever. :-)

Thankyou :) I did wonder if was another one of those "it's better if you don't, but actually it won't make any bloody difference whatsoever" type pieces of medical advice! ;)
