Hi ladies, babies and bumps! Like a lot of us I have used this site since early in my pregnancy but have never posted but now the day is dawning I wanted to share my story so far with you and get your feedback on your experiences.

So my partner and I decided to stop taking my pill on 31st Dec 2012 and my last period was 14th feb so we were super lucky- we thought it would take ages! We are now nearly 36 weeks and expecting a little boy, who is known as Bundle whilst ever he is in there.

I finally finished up work last Friday so trying to get the house sorted and myself in full blown baby mode. We moved house at 32 weeks which I don't recommend but our new house is so much nicer so worth it in the end. Although the change in health service wasn't my best idea!

I have had several bleeds throughout my pregnancy starting at around 14 weeks to the last which was about two weeks ago. The cause I have been given for the bleeding a couple of weeks ago is an ectropian cervix, which is great in the sense that this isn't something that affects bundle in the same sense as if it was coming from the placenta etc. But I wanted to find out of any of you had gone through anything similar? The care I have received from west herts and Bucks has been second to none. I'm back for a growth scan and a consultant review today.

The reason I ask is whilst ever I am prepared to do what I need to to deliver my baby as safely as possible, I am finding a lot of my choices are taken away. I will find out more today but they won'tet bundle go over his due date and depending on today's scan they are looking at bringing him at 38 weeks by induction. I can still have a vaginal birth but have been advised to have an epidural as soon as possible due to my asthma and potential breathing difficulties when in pain- I really wanted to be mobile. I have also been told that because of my cervix I could labour very quickly or very slowly (helpful!!).

Sorry for the long post but any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Have you asked whether you could have a "walking epidural"? It's a lower dose so you can still walk around.

Sorry to hear your pregnancy has been so stressful. Hopefully the birth will all go smoothly.
