5 Days in... and I want to say Thank You to you all.

Morning Ladies, My LO is 5 days old today and although she rocked into the world a whole 4 weeks early and weighing a tiny 5lb4oz she is doing amazingly well.

I never breast fed any of my other children but this time I really wanted to try. I did and although the first couple of days was extremely painful I found all the advice and support on here really encouraging and it helped me persevere.

So yes it can be a bit sore still but it is definitely manageable for me now and the bonding I feel is amazing. I am so cherishing this time. She is sleeping really well and I manage to get 4 hours sleep in one go and I am happy with that. I know it is really early days but I just wanted to share how HAPPY I AM.... I just spend hours looking at my baby girl.

I am sure now I have wrote this I will be back in a day or so pulling my hair out with a crying baby lol (Hopefully Not)

Just reading this made me feel a bit emotional actually!!

Not sure if it's because im also awaiting my lil girl in just over 3 wks time or the fact that you're doing so well it makes me (honestly) feel just that Lil bit better.

I must admit im now seriously "threatening" every day about how labour day is going to be & I even started to convince myself last night that she was coming as I was getting some quite strong braxton hicks contractions haha

Aww bless, There was only a couple of days between us and although 3 weeks is not very long if feels like forever especially as I have had my little girl. I remember reading BabyMother thread one morning thinking wow her baby will be here really soon and I still have 4 weeks. I never bargained on munching through two large cartons of fresh Pineapple watching a film in bed to holding a baby 12 hours later, Still shocked at how quick it all happened!

Your little one will be here soon enough, I keep dropping in to hear of updates Oh and trust me when the contractions start YOU WILL KNOW lol xx

You know!, it could have been all that pineapple that got her to come out. I might try this if i become too fed up again

It's funny as this is my 2nd baby i keep thinking I'll manage to get through the braxton hick contractions & then I'll find the baby's head "crowning" out or something!!

Ahhhh I can't wait to hold my little one. .. bet ur having lots of cuddles well done for breast feeding once u get the hang of it it's not so bad and easier than getting up in the night to get a bottle lol there are pros and cons thou. ... hope ur well x

So pleased for you and that all is going well. Day five was a real hormonal low for me, lots of tears so I'm really pleased that you have missed this. A lovely post thanks for sharing x
