Could be the baby pushing on your nerves and everything just moving south and the pressure being painful. Just because you haven't got an appointment for another 2 weeks there is no harm ringing them to maybe bring your appointment forward if your worried or for advice. Although they will probably say try and rest.

Could be 'pelvic girdle pain' caused by the ligaments getting 'softer' and causing stress to the bones of the pelvic area - you might not have had it before because it tends to become more of a problem for women who have it the more pregnancies they have. NCTs page on it is here: nct.org.uk/pregnancy/pelvic.... Alternatively could it be that your baby is in a back to back position and putting a bit of pressure on a nerve - if so you might not feel a rounded 'bottom' shape in your bump but a more lumpy irregular shape of baby's knees and feet, if you thought that might be it you could try alleviating that by being on all fours or spending sitting time in 'forward leaning' positions with your knees lower than your bottom - using a bean bag, birth ball or a posture/ergonomic chair (if you have one) can help with that. Hope that's some help.

sounds like SPD or pelvic girdle pain as it's also known. I 'm suffering with that too - it's not nice and i've just been referred to physio for it - i'm 34 weeks. Just something you gotta put up with a bit really i think - everyone keeps telling me it makes for an easier labour as your pelvis is already soft so i'm hoping this is true! but get yourself to midwife - they will refer you for physio if you need it. and use lots of pillows at night to support you. I was also told by midwife to keep legs shut as much as possible! -Couldn't help feeling its a little bit late for that sort of advice!!!! :)

I agree, sounds like pelvic girdle pain - I've had it since around 32 weeks (now 36). Get your midwife to refer you to physio - they can help with exercises to strengthen pelvis and pelvic floor etc and fit you with a support belt if needed. I've started going to aqua-natal classes run by a physio and they're great to take the weight off and do gentle exercises to help. Go swimming - being in water is great - just don't do breaststroke as that aggravates it!! Keep your legs together when getting in/out of bed and the car etc so you're not putting more pressure on pelvis. Don't think it will go away until the baby arrives, but you can do things to manage the pain / discomfort. :-)
