You could indeed - although it is unlikely. I had a coil fitted and it never did really agreed with me. In the end I had it removed after like 3 or 4 months.
Arrange a appointment with a nurse at your GP, I was surprised to find out that anyone can remove them but only certain people can fit them. They should be more then happy to talk to you about your symptoms, my nurse even offered to remove mine on the spot, which she did.
