How many weeks does it take bfore you can do the blood test n can you do the blood test when you 3-4weeks pregnant?

Hi there, blood tests are usually done around 12 weeks at the midwife booking appointment, mine were coordinated with my nuchal fold scan, and a second blood test to check iron levels etc is usually about 28 weeks. This may vary slightly from one area to another though.

Are you concerned about something? If so then perhaps contact your GP and talk with them as I'm unsure if the maternity blood tests can be done so early. I was in hospital for a week at 10 weeks and though I had all the forms with me they wouldn't entertain doing the tests early. This early on in your pregnancy its probably best to speak or visit your Dr.

Thankss, but when you do a blood test for HCG Level will it come out as positive or its too early when you 3-4weeks

In the uk, you don't as routine. You do a urinary bhCG test. If that's positive you book your mat care, either via your GP or self referral to your local maternity services.

They can do a blood test that early but it would have to be for a special circumstance if they did it...try a clearblue pregnancy test digital one mine showed up 4 days before my period was due x

But do you know if it will come out positive or negative for HCG at eraly stage?

It depends on level of HCG in your urine. I did pregnancy test very early and it did showed a positive result and I was only about 4 weeks. Each person is different though.

I had a blood test at 6 weeks and it showed my hormone levels to be at 2000 and then they were taken a week later and the hcg levels were 20,000. If your hormone levels in the blood test are higher than 35 then you will be pregnant. I had done a pregnancy test and it was negative but I had not had a period for 14 weeks so went to the docs and they did a blood test which revelied I was pregnant so sent me to EPU for an early dating scan.

Hmm alright n can't even remember only had brown spots n then really light blood but wasn't enough to wear pads n that was like a month ago I think
