Hi I am 8 weeks and its my first pregnancy. I have known since nearly 6 weeks and went to my doctor straight away. I was told to leave my number for a midwife to get hold of me and no one has called. Being my first I know I need a couple more visits then others.. should I chase the midwives or will they ge to me in good time?
Should I chase them?: Hi I am 8 weeks... - Pregnancy and Par...
Should I chase them?
I had my first midwife apt at 9 weeks and this is my first too so I wud of expected someone to of contacted u! are u not able to get in contact with the midwife unit urself to book an apt as thts what I did? x
Yeah just chase them upand say u haven't heard anything just ring ur local hospital and ask for community midwife dept. .u can choose wherever u want have ur baby. . as long as ur pregnancy is straight forward ur be seen the same amount of times as everybody else..congratulations x
Yeah just call them and say your 8 weeks now and you want to see a midwife for a booking app. I didn't have my 1st app till I was 10weeks as she was on holiday (again). Its ridiculous you have to do the chasing but come to excpect it now. Dont excpect your app to be anything special, it is just filling out paperwork.
I'm 6 & 1/2 wks and wont have my first midwife appnt until I'm nearly 9 weeks -it was the only one I was offerred! The drs said they usuallu like to do the first one at 6-7 weeks. If you're worried, give them a call. It's their job
