I didn't know what I was having, I was convinced I was having a boy ( that day) I am now a very very proud mummy to a beautiful little girl, my words were when I first clapped eyes on her was, I can't believe I get to keep her! I felt like I'd been pregnant forever, and went through one round of induction hormones that didn't get me into full labor spent a frustrating three days in hospital, went home on the weekend, and came back for a c section on the Monday, my husband was pooing himself scared at the thought of being in the theatre with me, so I spent the weekend phoning maternity bleep, getting them to talk to hubby, trying to put his mind at ease. If your man is scared, men you are NOT at the business end during the procedure, There is a Screen between them and you., so you can just sit down, hold your brave wife's hand, and wait to see your new arrival Together. Thought this might help if other mums to be are having to deal with squeamish other halves lol. And yes he went through with it and yes he was beaming when he saw our Alice. Although he declined cutting the cord, that was pushing it lol.

Thankyou for all of your congrats, and lovely comments. Another up side to having your partner with you is they look rather dishy in their scrubs, odd thing to think about at the time, but hey.
