What an ordeal you’ve been through, sending you hugs. I’m glad you’ve finally got a diagnosis of PRD, sometimes the hardest thing for me was not being able to tell people what I had. People couldn’t understand there was anything wrong as my treatment had finished so I should be better and back to normal, yet some of the side effects were be debilitating.

I wish you all the best for your appointment in August xx

Thank you I really thought I was going mad,a GP said you do not have cancer

I'm one of the lucky ones,a great support from my lovely husband and family and friends also Wessex cancer support where I live, they listen to me, believed what I was going through, if wasn't for them I don't know where I would be today. Things you can say to them, you tell your friends and family.

With this nightmare of a virus that they have not forgotten me. I'm now doing a nutrition course for 5weeks. Whether i

Agree with Betty. It sounds as though you have had a pretty rough time. Helps to have a diagnosis but the pain and other problems don't go away do they? Hope your husband is there for you - sounds as though he is. Do treat yourself kindly. Hope too that the August appointment goes ahead. I don't know whether you have tried gentle heat to your tummy. If the docs say it is OK that can relax the spasm in the bowel.

Very best wishes and hope you can find some solutions to your problems 😘

Oh yes, my hot water bottle is my best friend in times of bowel spasm! That and buscopan!

So lovely to hear that your team are in touch and your course is still running on zoom Blue_Hawaii 💕

I’m so sorry you’ve been through so much and are still going through a lot! I hope the appointment in August brings some answers and a plan.

As Jude said hot water bottle may help. Also talk to your doctor about wherever buscopan may help. It’s great for relaxing smooth muscle which can help if you’re getting any bowel or bladder spasm.

Sounds like you have really been through the mill but good luck with your August appointment fingers crossed it will go well. You will get through this and come out the other side. Agree about the hot water bottle as well. Our problems are such that many do not understand so it's great to have this forum where others do.

Hello Blue-Hawaii, I was diagnosed with womb cancer Grade 2 1B last AUgust. Surgery in September and 3 short courses of brachytherapy in November. I thought I was doing okay. Until I started having rectal bleeding. I have a history of rectal polyps so wasn't too concerned. However, last week I was sent for a flexi sigmoidoscopy and a large sessile poly was found which was too painful for them to remove there and then, so I await an appointment for it to be done under GA. However, the consultant has noted that there was a lot of sorenes in my back passage and thinks it may be down to the Brachytherapy. Did you by any chance experience similar?
