Early start this morning

Up and out before 7am this morning. Scarborough for Sainsbury's, garden centre and lovely walk round Scarborough Mere. Had our flask of coffee overlooking the lake and watching the geese and swans. Lovely morning out. Home now to work in garden.

Peasholm park in Scarborough is really nice!

Yes the park is nice but we just thought it might be too busy for us.

What a beautiful photo kitchengardener, it looks like the perfect place for a relaxing walk and cup of coffee. Great to see so many swans. 🙂

It was, we had been out since before 7am to miss people so by 10am we were ready for coffee which we had taken with us.

I’m glad you are being sensible and trying to stay away from people if at all possible. Unfortunately many are not. 🙂👍

With my leukaemia we have avoided people for over a year not even seen our families. Get by with the help of our super friends who have shopped for us and we have had Zoom dinner parties. Was nice to go out today though. xx

It is sad but you are right your health is most important. I can imagine how good it felt to get out and have a pleasant morning. 🙂

Aw the mention of Peasholm park took me back a bit. I was just looking through some of my mum's old photos yesterday taken there around 25 years ago when we all had wonderful holidays there when my son was just a toddler.

We had a similar day yesterday....lovely sunny day and popped into our favourite garden centre for the first time and got some nice purchases. We even splashed out and got a take out coffee/tea and iced gingerbread lol. Had it in the car all "gelled up" of course and was the nicest cuppa "out" we have had! Might be something in that it's our first since covid hit last year. I have to say though that our view wasn't as nice as that of the lovely view you had.

Time you came again then. We actually live in Brid but like a change with Scarborough. Brid flatter and just as nice.

Flatter sounds good....both hubby and I are now less mobile so that sounds good and can always take a wee run into Scarborough for old times sake!

All sea front and shopping areas are flat. The beaches are just wonderful. Lots of places to hire walking aids if you need them.

I might just add it to my 'to do' list now things are moving forward. Not managed to have a hol for several years now and I think one sounds like a fab idea hopefully soon!
