New Oral Treatment Approved for Relapsing Forms of MS
The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Ponvory™ (ponesimod) for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults — including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting, and active secondary-progressive forms of MS.
Thank you for this really useful link to the Multiple Schlerosis Association of America's article about this new drug which I see will be available in America on prescription from April of this year.We won't know for a while whether it will be approved for use in the United Kingdom, but it's always good to learn what new treatments are coming on-line, and must bring big fresh hope to sufferers of this horrible condition. Thanks for sharing.
.Thank you for posting this marvellous news, I spent many years working on MS Clinical trials prior to my stroke and subsequent retirement from theNHS and I am sure this will change the lives of many of my previous patients who I got to meet all of whom were desperate for any form of treatment for this debilitating illness
