Lovely drawing of a spotted sandpiper Wallowa, is there much difference in the colouring of the male and female?
Not much difference by gender for color, though the spots are part of "breeding plumage". Females are supposed to be a bit bigger than the males, but they are both kinda tiny. allaboutbirds.org/guide/Spo... for some cool pix.
Thank you Wallowa.🙂🪶
Our robin.
how charming!
They can be very feisty when they are protecting their territory. They also have a lovely song.
Beautiful xxxx❤️💜❤️💜
Our thrush.
I think we have one like that called a "varied thrush!"
They are quite timid. Numbers are falling unfortunately.
sorry to hear that!
Beautiful as well xxxx❤️💜❤️💜
Sorry I couldn’t get the thrush the right way round.
This is really good Wallowa, they are pretty birds aren't they. xx
I love sandpipers Wallowa and this one still seems to be running around preparing to 'dip'! 😊👍
Thank you so much!
