I agree
Hello Hiba, Iโm afraid of mosquitoes ๐ฆ and cockroaches ๐ชณ I donโt know why were they created but definitely donโt see how they fit in the whole balance of nature. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I agree
heights
I'm petrified of rat's and mice, I only have to see one on the TV for me to freak out. Oh and going out alone, I really struggle with that. X
I have emetephobia, fear of vomiting or feeling nauseous. It has pretty much ruined my entire life. But i have been doing great since being on meds for anxiety.
I also have Emetophobia but not as bad as I was. I would be in sheer panic mode if there was a tummy bug going round. I've had CBT which helped a bit and I also bought a book called 'The Thrive Programne', the programme makes perfect sense and works on the way you think.
I had Hypnotherapy many years ago and that cured me completely until the guy I worked for bullied me and it came back, it was a big trigger. I've forgiven him now though as there's no point hanging on to things like that.
Out of the three things I've mentioned, Hypnotherapy worked the best (unfortunately I can no longer afford it as I'm not working) and then The Thrive Programme and CBT.
My thoughts are with you as I know what it's like.
Take care
Thank you. When i was hospitalized for my mental illness, the dr. was referring to it as an eating disorder because i would refrain from consuming food while dealing with it. I guess you could call it that but i didn't agree.
Well I also beg to differ with the doctor, it's obvious you stopped consuming food as you were afraid of feeling or being sick.
I also hope you the very best with this, i hope you somehow get the cash to get back to what works for you. Hugs
Thank you and I appreciate your kind words. Honestly I'm nothing like as bad as I was and I meant to mention that I think having had the food poisoning and it changing my IBS C to IBS D with nausea helped as I was suffering with nausea every day so I think I kind of got used to it. I'm so glad I'm not like that now though.
Wishing you all the luck in the world and you can beat it, believe in yourself. xx
Snakes. When I was a child, my dad told me stories of India /Sri Lanka during World War 2, he was there for two years in the air force. They got chased by water snakes when they were swimming in the river to cool off. Also I once saw a huge fat python at our local Zoo . I still occasionally get recurring bad dreams and I'm now 68 !!! .
Financial insecurity. In the 1980s I spent some time flitting from one dead-end job to another, before joining the brain drain and moving to the Caribbean for three decades. Right now, I am coming off several months of morphine for pain. The withdrawal symptoms are awful; headaches, restlessness, irritability, insomnia, depression -- not to mention the physical ones. I have about four days to go. Right now, I don't want to ever have to go through this again. Today I shall paint to try to keep my mind distracted.
Think Iโm a big scaredy cat, Iโm scared of loads of things, my first is covid, birds, dogs, cats, spiders, snakes, and yes baked beans and custard to mention but a few, the list goes on but these are the worst things. ๐
Leaving my husband alone as I am all he has, losing my husband because I know it would be the end for me as well, clowns, creepy dolls, ventriloquist dummies, shop mannequins and looking in the mirror first thing in the morning lol
When I was young I was scared to meet new people, I used to hide behind my mum. Thank god I got better as I got older, maybe working in a super market for 20 years helped. Since I have re married 16 years this year and moved away from the area I was born, I find it a lot easier to make friends.
We must be kindred spirits, I am afraid of exactly the same as you x
Large spiders, heights, getting Covid and having an AF episode, as Iโve been told I have to go to A&E when it happens.
Hi Hiba
What an excellent post.
I have Emetophobia (fear of being sick, scared when there's a tummy bug going round), although I have to say it's nothing like as severe as it was due to CBT and following the Thrive Programme (check The Thrive Programme online, it's brilliant).
I'm also afraid of snakes.
That's it for me.

Hello Hb2003
I do not fear anything that actually exists. I caught rattle snakes when I was 7-8 years old to sell to road side zoos. Two things that do brother me, are splatter flick movies and these supposedly funny shows on TV showing every day people doing stunts that flop. Did I say every day people, jumping off a second story roof is just plain stupid.
Same ๐
when I see one my skin crawls ๐คฃ๐คฃ
That is true๐๐
I don't like needles but will overcome my fear for that awaited appointment to have a Covid jab . I don't like dentists as I am always thinking they are really disgusted with my teeth although I do my best to clean , floss and swill with mouthwash . I don't like many fairground rides but don't like to be the bag carrier for the day . Don't mind spiders but wasps ....I tense up and wish I had some sort of a spray not to kill them but something they hated so they flew away .
Omg I also get nauseous when I see one itโs super weird ๐คฃ
I am afraid/concerned that I could get Covid-19, and be asymptomatic , but that I could pass it on to my mom, dad, and or elderly aunt whom I visit weekly to make sure they have any necessities, and mostly anything they may want . Even though I am more cautious than my elderly family members I visit. I am so careful that I still have the concern that they could be infected, by me, or another asymptomatic visitor . Some people would say I am overly cautious, but I would rather be safe than take even a small chance of losing my family member(s)/loved one(s.) I pray daily , and I ask GOD to protect me, and my loved ones. .
Any type of creepy crawling insect makes me squeel in disgust and fear- and heights, for sure!
Oh my gosh same ๐
I don't like scary movies and I m afraid of snakes and spiders.
I have an irrational fear of honeycombs or anything that looks similar to them, real ones or photos even on TV, the sight of these kind of things scare me and make me nauseas xx
Hmm ๐ค I forgot what the phobia was called
I believe it does have a name it begins with T but I don't know what it is xx
