Lovely jubbly ! 😀

I'd prefer the Christmas cake option wiserlady but only if it's of the Caribbean kind in which all the fruit is mulched first and soaked in some good rum and red wine. Some of the islands' recipes seem to have more spirit than anything else! In Barbados it's known as Great cake, and I'd say it definitely is great but only in very small portions! Hic!

Would you need anyting else with it?

in reply toVeteran250

I definitely don't Don. It's quite a heady thing!

Traditionally it's eaten on its own wiserlady but I guess it would go quite well with a little bit of fresh tropical fruits like mango or pineapple, or a dollop of whipped cream/ice cream .

That's a difficult one for me as I like all 3, bit I'll eliminate cake as you can get iced fruit cake through the year, pie I'll eliminate as you can get fruit pies through the year so I'll settle for Christmas pudding please 🎅🌈🎄

Got to be mince pie even though it is what ruined my diet last Christmas.

I just need a large bowl of willpower 🤣
