Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.

yes it is, maybe it is having all the things we need without worrying about not having more

I wonder... can people who don't have everything they need be happy?

I think so; If they can distinguish what they need from what they want.

Happiness is knowing that what we have is ample.

what if it isn't ample... what if someone is living in poverty...

Great quoteHappiness comes from within. We can't rely on others to make us happy.

We need to look inside our hearts. We can heal through learning about ourselves.

The answers are there if we take the time.

may I ask what makes you so sure this is true and this is where happiness is found?

Hi

I have been meditating for years. It has helped me learn so much about myself. When we get to know ourselves better we can find a sense of peace.

I've discovered what is important to make me happy and it's not things and it's not other people.

I've healed some old wounds through meditation. I've learned the pain I was put through was not about me.

Not sure if this makes sense? But for me learning about me and learning to love myself I realized I don't need others to make me happy.

I have learned boundaries with people that were causing me great pain.

It's taken a lot of work. I continue my practice and when I have down days I can get myself out quicker.
