Hi all, here's a new update for those of you who know our member TheDrivenSnow, and who are following the course of her illness.

Yesterday was the appointed day to attend hospital for the results of her recent tests and scans.

This morning she contacted me with a little more positive news in that there has been no further deterioration in connection with her cancer diagnosis and no further matastasising (spread).

So for the next little while, the plan is to try to make her more comfortable with better pain control if possible.

Naturally this has been more cheerful news for her, and she was sounding more upbeat this morning than she has for the past while.

So, once again, sending her best wishes and love! ♥♥♥♥

I really hate these three-monthly scans: as each one approaches, I find myself holding my breath rather a lot!

I'm feeling much better today, thanks! Even suspending one of my pain meds hasn't been terrible. That's a win in my book! 💛

I'm resting up, but - ironically - much of the time, lying down hurts more than standing up! It makes no sense whatsoever! I hope life is treating you well xXx

Good indeed to hear that there is no further spread at the last scan.

I so hope better pain relief can be found to help DS get through the days and nights in more comfort.

Sue - and all those who have been kind enough to think of me... 💛💛💛

I'm recovering from treatment administered last Thursday, and I'm doing so much better today!

I'm finally sitting up and able to get to the loo and the fridge (v. v. important!) Even the nausea has abated somewhat, as I've been daring and have omitted to take one of the painkillers (which I self-titrate and which makes me feel 🤢).

As ever, you've all been amazingly kind and supportive, and it makes my heart glow to think of all the goodwill there is out there 🌟✨🌟
