I've just been in touch with TheDrivenSnow again, and sadly she isn't feeling too good at the moment. It seems to be a combination of her ongoing treatment on top of generally not feeling great at the moment, and culminated in a visit to hospital at the weekend for an emergency MRI scan. This in itself is a real ordeal for her, because she is unable to lie flat.
So, at the moment, she's resting as much as she can, but in her usual indomitable style, she's setting herself small goals to try to turn things around whilst awaiting the result of her scan.
She has her husband and son there to support her and her three much loved 'doglets' as she calls them.
I'm sure you'll join with me in wishing her a fast turnaround and a favourable MRI report. Of course I'll let you know any updates. She's promised to post herself as soon as she's able and to update me so that I can let you know what's happening, if she's unable to do so herself.π
The ability to reply to this post has been turned off.
Thank you so much for updating us, so sorry to hear the news is not so good.
Extra gentle hugs and very best wishes to TDS.
Ellie
I remember when I was told I was having a ct scan at a and e when I had blood clots in my lungs back in 2017 and I had been terrified thinking it was an mri where you are enclosed in the scanner but thankfully the ct machine is open and like going through a polo mint!
Thank you so much Sue for posting this. I was only thinking of her at the weekend and was wondering how she was. She's one amazing woman and is an inspiration to us all.
Thank you for the latest update. I'm going to say a little prayer for her. I sent her a short message yesterday just so she knows I'm thinking of her.
Thank you for keeping us updated, very much appreciated.
Love and hugs Lynne and Dave xxxx β€οΈπ
Thanks for letting us all know that Callendersgal, not so good then, let's hope that the result of her mri isn't more bad news she's such a special person xx
Thanks for the update Callendersgal, I hope she is a comfortable as can possibly be. If she had a spec of energy, we know she would post. I hope the scan results will be good. Glad she is having time with her son. ππ
I have had quite a few chats with Drivensnow, so appreciate you giving us an update. Please add my love and best wishes to pass along with everyone else. Thanks Calldersgal.
To all who have posted here and expressed concern, I send my gratitude and affection.
I won't go into the details, but it is clear to me that a decline has set in.
I have not yet received the results of the MRI (spine) scan, and I expect that they will be bundled with the results of PET-CT scans of my brain, chest, abdomen and pelvis, which I am supposed to undergo on 7 October.
I'm going to keep this brief, but I will post a separate thread shortly, as I appreciate not everyone who has posted here will see this response. Please forgive me if I am unable to respond to each of you separately. My energy reserves are much depleted, and I am finding it hard to type for extended periods of time.
Hi Sherin, Just a personal message of support. I know how tough the going is at the moment and itβs a sign of your ongoing strength and determination that youβve managed to come and reply here. Sending the maximum love and hope to you xxxπ
