Dogs and rats for covid detection

Finland is using dogs to detect covid - 19... more accurate, earlier instant diagnosis.

Too simple for the UK government, and not profitable enough for Big Pharma?

Presumably, Big Pharma or virology labs would produce samples for training?

A giant rat got an award for sniffing out mines... and, presumably, rats could be trained to detect Covid?

At Heathrow, in a few months time:

"It's OK Madam - if you do not want to be searched by our big, shaggy dog, we have a giant rat!"

Haha what you wrote about Heathrow. I would rather have the big shaggy dog, i can't bear rats!

How did they present the award to the rat ?

On the news, he had a medal round his neck.

The award was for bravery… but there was no proof that he understood what mines were for!

So long as the rat wears uniform while on duty at Heathrow S11m, I shall try to bear it with fortitude!😃

I was wondering if they could use white lab rats... but I do not think they are bred for intelligence. There are, of course several breeds of dog that have been bred as working (and sniffer) dogs for centuries. I think that perhaps they use rats to detect mines as they are light enough to avoid setting off the mines.

We do have Covid Detection dogs in the uk - they are currently under training and I believe some are already working at airports. Fascinating trials

Great - I think the relevant question is not:

"¿Will it work?" but:

"¿How soon can we get how many thousands of dogs trained?"

I often look closely on the Internet or in the Instagram feed for paintings or images of wildlife; I like it incredibly for its beauty and picturesqueness. In general, wildlife is full of beautiful creatures that you want to depict on canvases. There is, of course, a dark side to this, for example, rodents, insects, and some mammals that can harm humans. Of all the possible ones, I would like to single out bats. Have you noticed that none of the paintings have ever depicted these creatures? Personally, I haven't seen a single painting yet, have you? Bats have long been a problem for me that I was able to fix only with the help of tampa.aaacwildliferemoval.c...
