Forget the Time Of Year, Lockdown and ALL.... It's 'Spring' Cleaning, no really. Seemingly 'Eons' of sh_t Everywhere! My Mother is Helping me, her Organisational skills are much better than mine. However I Found my 'Clip On' Lamp, along with, not one but Two packs of 'button' batteries. A bit of 'fun & games' with the screwdriver set, a few 'strange' words (you know the ones) and 'Hey Presto' my Lamp is a Good 'un.
Thus far the Kitchen Floor has been the most 'Difficult', I used a Steam Cleaner- as this can often 'Melt' stains.
I'm currently trying to 'Come Up' with a plan, to 'fix' a Two Foot Long, Two Inch Wide and One Inch Deep, painted 'plaque' to my wall. I'm trying to make a Sling arrangement, out of string, and then tie the ends onto nails..... So far I have two, out of three, and it IS Staying Up.... I now have ALL Three..... WELL it's not, too bad, NOT quite Level but 'Holding'. This Plaque reads "Reach For The Moon And, Even If You Miss, You Will Land Among The Stars'' It is NOT Quite, the Worst 'Thing' I have ever had to Put Up but.... It's NOT far off!!!
I remember replacing a Pop Rivet, with a 'Bolt' and having to glue it on......

You always seem so busy AndrewT. It's good your mum is giving you a hand. Bravo mum. I love what your plaque says but remember, if you don't reach the moon, there are many stars that shine much brighter than the moon and it is much better to be in the hands of many bright stars than just standing alone on one. 😊👍

I've just 'Tried Out', my Clip On Lamp, it's not bad- although it only lights a small area. I mustn't complain, concidering it was an 'Over', from a Jumble Sale (last year).
We get busy living life and the house always takes a back seat. At least around here it does since the last thing we want to spend time on is housekeeping.
Then we look around and all of a sudden notice that it looks like pigs live here.
That isn’t helpful cause then we feel obligated to tidy up but it normally takes a long time when we would rather be doing something else that is more fun. Of course everything is.
Aww, spring cleaning is whenever we decide to declare it, yes? Good for you and for your mom's help in getting to it. Do you do windows too??? I'm asking because I've been putting those off for weeks. No need to call ahead, I'm usually home with the door unlocked. Smiles
The OUTSIDES, of my windows are 'Done' under contact, fairly regularly. My Steam Cleaner has a 'Hand Held' mode that can do Windows- though I haven't done them yet.
Just a though...... but didn't Bill Gates, have 'Trouble' with his Windows.....😋
AndrewT, you are a funny man!! Well, yes...I have a hand held steamer but hadn't thought of using it on outside windows....greeatt suggestion...any chance you'd like to pop over to show me how it works???? lol
Yep, seem to remember Bill Gates also had a tad bit of trouble with his Windows. Thanks for the good morning, chuckle. My address is..... and I will furnish the steam cleaner at no charge.... Smiles
