Who said: "If you do not watch (read) the news, you are uninformed... if you do, you are misinformed"?

Governments would not admit to scaremongering or misinformation, but the USA government (or Donald Trump) has, until recently, played down the "threat" of Covid ... and the UK government is now emphasising the possibility of a second wave... to encourage us to comply with the lockdown laws (and, over the last fortnight the infection rate in the UK has slightly increased).

"Big brother" is now policing the internet... but they tend to warn readers, rather than remove posts that, e.g., do not comply with WHO guidelines.

I am concerned about the anti-covid (legislation) rebellion in the USA... and I hope it does not spread over here.

Think positive - and hope that infection promotes herd immunity!

We might like smugly think that we (in the UK) have "got it right" and the USA have got it all wrong, but, to according to Worldometer, the UK currently has a higher death rate than any other large country... hopefully, this is an indication that we have better "herd immunity"... and our infection rate will not increase much. Global infection rates are increasing exponentially, and global death rates are increasing again.

The USA is tenth in terms of recorded deaths per million... but the total population of the countries with higher death rates is "only" about 280 million - less than the USA's 330 million!
