I wonder why they haven't been shorn. Perhaps the sheep shearers aren't able to work (because of the virus), if they normally travel from farm to farm.

Some breeds of sheep are self shedding. Most sheep shearers are working though, obviously using safe distancing from owners.
Thank you for that information. That might well be a self shedding breed then.
