I have been on Forsteo for 5 months. I have no side effects but there is lititle improvement in pain from a dynamic hip screw that I had after a broken hip. A year before that I had a hip replacement on the other side. I had some physio following that and my doctor organised for more. Now I am awaiting telephone assessment and guidance. I am doing strengthe training, stretching and specific exercises for op. My walking is poor and am unsure how to improve it. I was a keen walker once! Good luck to all of you. It is wonderful to know we are not alone.

Hi pamjay19,
I'm guessing your Forsteo is for osteoporosis and it will take some time for any improvement to show, given how slowly bone builds. After any fracture it takes 18 months to two years for healing to be completed, and that's in someone without any complications like osteoporosis. So please don't give up hope!
You seem to be doing all the right things to improve your strength and that's the most important thing. But I'm sure you'll be glad to have a phone consultation and be able to ask any questions you may have, as well as get advice.
I do hope your walking will slowly improve, but I guess as we age we all have to accept our limitations. Do ask during your consultation what the best way forward is towards improvement.
Good luck to you too and do take care and don't try to rush your recovery🙏
