Unfortunately this morning I had a gas leak and it scared me as I was given a new gas alarm. I immediately called national grid who calmed me down as I was scared and talked me what to do when I got upstairs and how to shut off my gas for safety. Even in this crisis there is men and women who are working to keep us safe. The gentleman who come out to check asked if I am alright.
National grid, the emergency services, doctor 's nurses are the unsung heroes who work all year round to help us.
All the men and women who have unfortunately lost their lives to COVID-19 is also unsung heroes. The men and women who are helping find a way of beating COVID-19 and of course as a nation as we are looking out for each other.
There's a lesson I have learned from this crisis to look out for each other as you never when someone might need your help.
As a nation we are strong as individuals we are strong. Sir Captain Tom Moore showed us that.
Stay strong as individuals and as a nation. Until this crisis is completely over. Stay safe, stay alert and of course help others safety as you can.

Hi Kamilla22, I am glad you are safe and that you were given prompt reassurance and help. It is good to know that there are still people out there who have worked away in the background to keep life going. Those who are providing the energy to keep our electricity supply going, as well as gas, for example.
My own husband has needed to work throughout the crisis. And he isn't in any kind of heroic role and doesn't look for praise, although he receives plenty from me, for managing all safety precautions to take care to try not to bring coronavirus back home to me, in self isolation.
I doubt, when we did, or do, our Thursday clapping, we manage to remember all those people who have kept us going. If you sat and thought about your average day there would probably be all sorts of other people we haven't remembered, who are involved in keeping everything going.
So thanks for your praise and thanks to anyone who has kept going throughout this, despite all sorts of odds in a difficult situation. 🙏

Within 30 mins they was here checking the boiler as I informed that I am mild risk asthmatic. It scared me to death, but thank god there's people who work hard and calm people down when they need it. We need to do a way to remember all the people who unfortunately lost their lives to COVID-19. My mate's was also doing their best to help me stay calm by text.
Hi Hidden , I'm so glad you are safe and well and that there were people on hand to help you in this scary situation. You are so right in what you say, there are many people out there that have been amazing during this awful situation.
Take care and stay safe.

You don't know how many people who are working in the background until you need them

You certainly don't and I think it makes you appreciate them more.

When national grid turned up I thought my knight in shining armour even though he was wearing gloves and mask but after I went though it was the only way I thought of it. I am feeling better now I have to my landlord gas team out to confirm that I can start using it doing that tomorrow.

I think I would feel that way also, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with gas and of course we need the specialists to deal with it for us. I'm glad you are feeing better and I'm glad your landlord's gas team are coming out tomorrow.
Take care and stay safe.
