What a great place for the dogs to have. They look like they are very good pals. Your son's dog looks very big. 🐕
They are both about 80 lbs. our son’s dog is a little mismatched, small ears and sort of a prehensile tail like an opossum. He looks like he could hang from a tree branch using his tail.
One of the best things about him is the doesn’t run off, always around when you call him.
Of course Ike is very hard to beat regarding manners and behavior.

What lovely dogs and they do love the water. I was brought up with Boarder Collies and they were so loyal. Digs are good friends to have.🐕

Is Tsuga Akita? You mentioned the tail and obviously loves water. I had two Akita dogs that were that brindle color with white tipped socks. Loyal to the core. Loved my Akitas. I had 4 in all- 2 American and 2 Japanese. T h Amos for sharing the picture. I can almost smell the fresh air and cool breeze with the water trickling from the creek.

Tsuga is a mutt. German Shepard, boxer, bulldog, cattle dog, and we think lab.
Akita’s are very nice dogs.
You have the scene correct in all regards including the smells. Awesome.
