God you are so right. Just remember social distancing, your mask and gloves when the hard rain is gonna fall. Unless it washes away our tears and take covid-19 away from us.

Ah, jevousaime4ever, another Bob Dylan fan! I've loved him and his work since I was a student nurse back in the 1960s. Then, we'd sit outside in the garden of our accommodation block, listening to his protest songs about war. (The Vietnam war was it full swing at the time.) And it was extraordinary that that was our taste in music, as we were actually military nurses. Ah, the naivety of the young! They were happy days and my affection for his work has never dimmed. 😊

I listened to him as well in france. Then when I moved to us, after a while ,I could actually understands his poetic gifted writing! Then now I still appreciat his gift like I do leonard cohen. However, being so ancient and old, I do realize, their point of view was a male dominated point of view that we all bought into as women..Like I have nude portrait of women in my living room from degars and others. what I am supposed to do take them down?

He richly deserved his Nobel prize in my opinion. Maybe it’s because I’m an old crumbly myself, and grew up with the same thinking as you did, I can’t be bothered with the PC thinking around attitudes and art works of the past. I celebrate that females are achieving equality, but I can’t change the past by taking a Degas print off my wall or vilifying an artist for representing what was the norm at that period in time, so I’d say enjoy what you enjoy, unless there was a specific act or acts by that individual which was downright unacceptable. And that most definitely leaves me able to still enjoy my beloved Bob Dylan.
