I thought I saw a few people say they were going to try PE with Joe Wicks on his Youtube channel in the mornings. I started last Wednesday and was a bit skeptical, but I really love it. A 20 min workout in the morning is helping to give me so much energy! I have been really sluggish since not being able to leave the house, but I really like the community feel of his videos and knowing that 500,000+ people are doing the same exercise as I am in the same moment.
Are there any other fans out there? Will you be taking part in his fancy dress Fridays?

I'm doing the Joe Wicks sessions too ! Just enough to get the day going in the right way - without being too exhausting !
Sadly he's a bit full-on for me SadieHU, but this looks terrific for anyone who's relatively fit. Does anyone have any suggestions for a video with some gentle exercise for unfit oldies living in apartments with paper-thin floors? Tai Chi fits that profile really well, but I am a complete beginner and progress is slow. I need something else too!
But back to Joe Wicks. I did watch his workout for today after you flagged it up, and he's got a really nice vibe going. 😊
Have you tried Yoga with Adriene? Lots and lots of free videos on her YouTube channel. Some for beginners. Some series of a session a day for 30 days, and a monthly calendar of suggested sessions if you (like me) prefer to be told what to do!
Nice suggestion linda9389. I used to practice long ago, and old age health issues have made some positions out of the question, but I certainly will take a look, as it's often possible to do some, and any little helps at the moment! Thank you!
Adriene is very forgiving, relaxed and flexible about what you can and cannot do. Her byline is 'find what feels good' - what's not to like about that?
I have been doing Adriene's morning yoga since the lockdown. I agree that she is very forgiving. I have very stiff hips which can be an issue with yoga, so sometimes I sit with legs straight rather than cross legged and adapt where I need to. It's worth trawling through her classes as she has more gentle sessions, including for seniors. Here's a link that you might find interesting:
I gave it a go yesterday Sadie. Enjoyed it but with shiny hardwood floors throughout our downstairs, I found myself slipping all over the place in the various lunges. It was a good laugh though and eye candy of that calibre is always a bonus 😉
Hi Sadie, I've yet to try it but it's on my list! He's worth watching for his enthusiasm alone. You may find this interesting as the Guardian did a recent piece on him:
