I live in Supported Living and, having not been out- at all- today, I 'Ventured' downstairs, just before 8pm. I found four, or five, of our Staff in the Office and explained that, I was there, to Join The Applause, For The NHS Staff.' A few minutes later we all went outside, to the car park, to find.... a considerable number, of our Neighbours both Clapping and Whistling too!
Upon our return, I told our Staff that 'The Applause 'was for you too'.
Just thought that, I'd 'Share' this.

Thanks for sharing AndrewT. How lovely. I so enjoyed your post as it's oozing positivity. I'm happy you pointed out that the applause was for your own staff too. We all need some feel-good moments just now, to help us through. The 8pm applause was inspiring. I doubted whether many would join in, in my location, as it's more commercial than residential, but there was still a good response and I was delighted. I'd also like to give a personal shout out to all shop-assistants who also put themselves very much on the line to deal with us all so well at such a trying time, and are also, only now, being protected slightly more than at the beginning of the crisis. In a way, if not saving lives, they are certainly sustaining life.
Very best wishes and thanks for sharing this. Have a happy day.
Yes some amazing people and our Close was outside last night to claps, cheering and whistling. My children are looking after us and we also appreciate their time in this difficult time with their own work and families.
Stay safe everyone 👏👏Sue
