Counting my blessings 😊

A gloriously sunny day here in Lincolnshire again so I have been for a 5k solo run round the country lanes and am going to tackle some more of the gardening. Best of all, though, my son’s girlfriend drove down to his house in London last night (following the Deputy Chief Medical Officer’s announcement) and whisked him with working from home paraphernalia back to her place in rural Northamptonshire. Even though he is only 24 and fit as a fiddle I am so relieved he is out 😁

Sounds blissful and I think it's definitely making me count my blessings too

Enjoy

Yes, it's a beautiful day in Lincolnshire. There not being much wind is a blessing. Although I do have some washing out.

I live next to a river it's so peaceful , and I do enjoy most of the wild life.

Have done a little bit in the garden this morning, and have great plans

for turning out the greenhouse.

My washing has just gone out too and there is the gentle hum of lawnmowers in the background. I think I could get used to this slower pace of life 😊

Hi Sandie1961,

That run sounds horrendous to me, but of course it's an absolutely wonderful thing to sound-minded people and promotes such good feeling as well as health. It was a perfect day for a run too, and must have been so pleasant along country lanes.

I'm glad your son's been removed to a safer situation too.

Hope you all manage to stay safe and well.

Thank you - you too!

I’ve only been running for just under 2 years (popped over here from the HU running sites) but it has become such a huge part of my life in such a short time and I have made such good friends, both virtual and increasingly in real life. At 58 years old and a lifelong non-runner, I barely recognise myself 😂

It's amazing when an activity makes such a positive effect on your life. And the great thing is, that, for now anyway, you can still run every day, and that will surely help to keep you buoyant. Take care.

Hi

That sounds great. Sunny here in the NW.

I am at present I'm bed, sweating buckets, aching, stomach sore and a horrible headache as well!! Take care and stay safe xxxx
