Hi Steph,
Have you got a holiday booked or something? The best thing to do is ask your GP, but personally, in your situation, I don't think I'd be going anywhere but the local hospital.
You had me worried there, but I see your hols are quite a way off and by then I'm sure you will be sorted as far as the suspect GCA is concerned. Once it's all under control I'm sure you'll be fine to fly.
Hi, when I was first diagnosed and on a high dosage of steroids I was due to go on holiday and my GP saw no problem; I did however decide to postpone the trip till October as did not feel I would be fit enough to enjoy it! And I am glad made this decision. Might be worth asking holiday company if this is an option without any penalty.
My problem with changing the dates is we are booked to go with other family members
HI Steph,
Just see how it goes. If you are sorted soon and on a dose of steroids that deals with your illness, then there should be no prob, but make sure , that before you go, you are under a specialists guidence. In other words, ask a Rheumy as far as your hols are concerned.
