2 weeks ago I hit the inside of my lower arm and developed a hematoma. Urgent care said ice, etc., would get better when it gets better. I’ve been icing religiously and it is better…not gone, but better. Then we started to decorate for Christmas. I developed another hematoma on the other side of my wrist that, according to the internet, is from overuse. Now I have tennis elbow, pain from my wrist to my shoulder, (no pain in elbow) can’t touch arm, can’t sleep. No swelling. My physio says massage it if I can stand it, ice it (been doing that), and do one little gentle stretching exercise. It will get better when it gets better. I’m mad all over. I am going to crawl in and out of my recliner as it hurts too much to use the lever. Hard to hold a book open to read. Will have hubs cook, do laundry, dishes, etc. scary. Tennis elbow…another gift from pmr. Thanks for the vent.

Makes depressing reading when you google it - according to the NHS, you should wait for 2 weeks to see if it goes away, then they are likely to wait 6 weeks before offering physio. And surgery becomes an option after 6-12 months!!
I'd hope someone at least offered to try a steroid injection before then!

Surgery after two years with mine!!
I have Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy for my knee. Apparently it started off originally for tennis elbow and it is available on the NHS in UK, so it should work! I don’t know if you can get it in the US? I don’t know anyone with tennis elbow so do not know if it works or not.
Is it working for your knee? My rheumy is suggesting trying it for my back pain. My daughter has had it for her macerated knee meniscus and says it has really helped.
Amazingly yes, which is amazing. It is supposed to put off an op for eight years. I have been having an injection once a year for seven!!
Not quite the same situation but back in 2020 when I had the injured knees one of them remained swollen for a long time. One thing which did help in the end was immobilising it with an elastic brace, and stopping trying to keep fit by walking. So if you can "inactivate" the injured limb that would probably help healing. I also found Flexiseq seemed to really reduce swelling although that's not at all what it claims to be able to do, but unless an actual joint is involved likely not a useful idea for you.
I got some exercises to do via a physio - only spoke to on the phone. (Ridiculous). They have helped. My arm used to ache at night so I couldn’t sleep. Happy to send them your way ( the exercises). They are in videos. DM me if you like.
I can truly relate to your depression with pain.Iam the same after falling again. The knees took the brunt and my neck.I am the glue that holds our life together. My husband has balance issues.I pray for to have a great recovery.Thats all we can hope for❤️
