hi everyone, just wanted to ask I have had a sore throat and a cough since June, I have had a slight improvement since coming down from 5mgs of Prednisone to 4 ( I’ve been taking this for over 2 years now) feel like it’s upsetting my stomach maybe causing more reflux! The cough is driving me nuts, I have to have sugarless cough lollies next to me at night as it sops me from sleeping! Has anyone here had the same experience?… or heard anything about Prednisone causing these issues, Im trying to come off it now, don’t know if I can…
I’m now off the Endep which is fantastic it was really mucking up my head..
I would so appreciate any feedback xx

Those are common symptoms of silent reflux so that needs checking out - any longstanding cough needs to be investigated anyway in case it is something less benign. If you are already on stomach protection medication for reflux - maybe you need a higher dose or a different one.
I just thought I would let you know I had an endoscopy and I have a hiatus hernia medium size (stomach has come through the diaphragm wall into the chest cavity) i have to have surgery. I just feel like it’s one thing after another but I have so many awful symptoms that I’m glad to get it done… Merry Christmas everybody xxx
At least they have found something to account for the symptoms - and hiatus hernia is preferable to some!! All the best and hope you don't have to wait too long.
Good that it is being looked into. If it’s reflux related they will see it. Personally, your kind of stomach med didn’t help me at all so I had to change type.
So no blood pressure tablets for example? This is about common cough causing medications.
