Instructed and reduced pred over 2 year period stopping at end of August and had a few niggles until I eventually was struggling to get upstairs I restarted pred yesterday I am already managing stairs much better
Thank goodness for this forum I really don’t think the so called medics have a clue

Glad the pred is doing its job again! Managed to put myself into a similar position, although I'd been taking low dose of pred for several years and always had sensible support from doctor. You will get to genuine zero eventually, just not yet. 🍀
That often happens when it gets worse slowly and you put it down to being older than pre-PMR and deconditioning. That's why we say you need to be aware - never worse at the end of a taper step than you were at the start of it.
