I’ve been dealing with this PMR business for so long, it just felt like an ok idea to just get off the pred.

Thank you for giving me cause to reevaluate my decision about ending pred use.

After reading every one of your posts…I know you are right. You all have been my guides over these years and everything I’ve learned has come through your contributions and wisdom. I really don’t need the complications that can come from stupid decisions,… like cold turkey stopping my Pred dose.

I’ll go take the rest of todays dose, to equal 5 mg for the day..l., and tomorrow, I’ll draw up a more measured schedule for reduction. Yes, I know how to do it… I just didn’t want to screw around anymore.

Good to hear you are reevaluating situation. And do you know this post has come up twice. Maybe delete one, or you’ll have both running together.

Just select the More V icon at bottom of your post [suggest this one as only I have replied]. Then select Delete- and it does…

”Cold turkey” is definitely not something that should be considered with PMR, although I had a rheumatologist who just laughed when I said I could not go that fast and insisted I did. Rather than dropping the dose I dropped the rheumatologist!
