After recent t COVID and just getting over a cold ….tomorrow I am off to Sicily 😁Can’t quite believe it . I have a question that I can’t really get clear information from EasyJet website…..Should I travel with most of my pills in my handbag or just enough for flight and rest in hold case ?
Thanks everyone for your support as always and help

I’ve always traveled with all my pills . Twice over the years cases have been lost plus a back up in cases in case hand luggage goes missing . What a worrying person I’ve turned into. Enjoy Sicily.
Enough for the entire trip IN YOUR HANDLUGGAGE!!! Spares in the hold or a travelling companion's handluggage. I always put mine in a ziploc bag like you use for liquids so they can see them all at security without trying to get them all together. And refuse to allow the handluggage to go in the hold! If you explain there is medication they are fine about it.
i am travelling (eurostar to spain) for the first time since diagnosis and have double the medication i need, full set in hand luggage , another backup set in suitcase. just in case i lose either! maybe over anxious? but better safe than sorry 🙂
Never had a problem in my hand luggage with various airlines. Always carry original packs. I would never contemplate putting them in hold, especially these days with the multitude of luggage disaster stories.
just back from two weeks in France. Carry all (I took 18 days worth of everything)in hand luggage. I never take mine in original boxes, always in dosset boxes. Travelled extensively for years, never any problems. I do put a copy of my prescription in with it. I take up to 30 pills a day. I would have to spend my whole holiday sorting pills out if I took them in original boxes! I’ve never had problems in long haul or short distance travels.
I recently flew with Ryanair and they allow you an extra bag for meds as hand luggage. I asked what weight/ size and was told it didn’t matter, which I found odd. However no one questioned my 2 bags rather than one. I also had insulin and CGM spares which are pretty bulky!
Always carry all your medication in your cabin bag, in case your luggage goes permanently missing. Take a copy of your prescription(s) along, too, so you can demonstrate you are entitled to have the drugs. Don't pop the pills out in advance, as customs cannot easily tell what they are. Keep them in their original packaging, if possible.
