I have had PMR for four years. Currently tapering at 5/4.5mg of pred. I recently had a stent fitted in my heart and am currently doing cardio rehab - exercise with heart monitoring.
I have noticed occasional tingling all over the palms of my hands from wrist to fingertips. It always happens and is worse after exercise. The rehab nurse asked if the tingling could be connected to my PMR. A good question I said. Does anybody else get this tingling after exercise or otherwise? Thank you.

You could possibly have bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome which can be seen in those with PMR. Caused by joint and soft tissue swelling and compression where the median nerve goes under a ligament at the wrist. Certainly worth excluding if it is persistent or doesn't settle down after exercise. Are you doing weights or using the bikes?
Yes. Like you have had PMR for about 4 years. Did manage to reduce to 3 mg of Pred but tingling in hands and fingers and eventually pain in arms and one morning stabbing pain in back of hand which reminded me of the first signs of PMR 4 years ago. Have jumped back up to 7.5mg of pred and it has improved considerably after 5 days but not completely gone. Hopefully it will disappear and then I will reduce back to 5 and if OK start reducing again. If not will probably go back up to 10mg.
I have only managed to get that low once but that was when I was on a clinical trial so a bit different. It's bearable at the moment and I think I'll try to exclude everything else before increasing pred. That's something I will do only if absolutely necessary.
